August W. Harris III

August W. Harris III, a native Austinite, is the owner of Covenant Financial Solutions, LLC, located in the heart of historic downtown Austin, Texas. He started Covenant to serve client needs based on several guiding principals including fiduciary duty, integrity, honesty, responsiveness and resourcefulness. Covenant’s operations principally focus on merchant services and to a lesser degree unrelated banking consulting services. While not currently practicing, Harris is also a state certified mediator.

After more than 13 years in the banking and legal industries managing and valuing distressed real estate loan portfolios, managing residential, multi-family and commercial real estate and providing supervisory oversight of financial institutions, Mr. Harris changed careers in January, 2002 to join a small start-up merchant service provider as chief operating officer. Within a year, he launched Covenant Financial Solutions to provide client services in a manner that directly reflects his belief system.

Mr. Harris is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. For more than 20 years, Mr. Harris has been involved in a wide variety of community service projects, many in leadership roles. He is a member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce serving on the Transportation Committee, Downtown Circulator Task Force, Freight Rail Task Force, and Transit Rail Task Force; with the Alliance for Public Transportation as a Founding Member; on the Board of the West Austin Neighborhood Group serving as President Elect, Secretary, and Transportation Committee Chair. He is affiliated with the Heritage Society of Austin; National Trust for Historic Preservation; and the Texas Ex Students Association. Past involvements include the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the Austin Texas Exes; Downtown Austin Partners; Paramount Producers; St. David’s Foundation; Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo and numerous other charitable projects.
